As one of the most elite high-end residences in downtown Taipei City, this project is particularly memorable for its distinctive rotating architectural language. Inspiration for the lighting concept arose from the cyclical nature of all living things. The unique architectural language of the space results in the building having a shapeshifting appearance depending on your viewing angle and perspective. Lighting utilizes this feature to encompass the echoes of light and shadow, a technique that’s founded around the idea of developing with illumination, and fillling light with shadow. This magnifies the extraordinary with elegant, understated white light. In concert with dynamic lighting programming, this structure expresses the luminous vision of infinite cycles and endless living, giving it a mystical night presence in a dense urban setting.
