Light tells a dramatic tale at the Rosewood Hotel in Bangkok. As the hospitality experience unfolds upon entry, space by space, a personal invitation into a grand private estate is extended. Its opulent, unmistakably residential atmosphere crafted by a meticulously curated cast of decorative light fixtures, custom luminaires, and gallery art lighting. Warm, luxurious illumination belies a tightly controlled technical system of LEDs, with rhythm running, scene setting and color shifting applied throughout to augment varied interior expressions. Lighting strategies accentuate textured walls, spotlight experiential moments, and harmonize aesthetically with architectural gestures shifting between modern and old world elegance. Achieving contrast and balance between the different expressions of lighting, employing decorative versus architectural light, glowing in deep night or accommodating the shifting tones of day – these were the key challenges we embraced.
